There are a number of boards available for AT's running Xenix. AST 4Port/XN about $495 Quadram 5port is about the same American Micronics has the LAMB board in 4 and 8 port models. I think they sell for $495 and $695 respectively. Digicomm has a 4 and 8 port board about the same price. Arnet Controls 4 or 8 port version Control Systems Hostess 4 and 8 port versions I've seen the Control Systems Hostess, Digicomm, American Micronics, and AST boards. I've heard that there have been problems with the AST, but I can't substantiate that. The above boards, except for the Quadram, are all supported by Santa Cruz Xenix Sys V. Another idea is the Computone ATvantage-X smart serial in 4 or 8 ports It lists for $999 and $1199. The advantage is that it is controlled individually port by port and takes a lot of the effort from your central cpu. I haven't used this one either. I'm not associated with any of these places, I was just interested and found out what was available. You can find some good educational discounts on most of these boards if you are from a school, so shop around. Bob Cole access@iubacs (bitnet) access@iuvax (uucp)
