I'm looking for a powerful grafic card for my IBM-AT. It should have the following features: - HITACHI's HD63484 Controller, - 8 bitplanes, - RGB 40..50 MHz output (interlaced), - at least 1024x768 resolution. Does anyone know of such a card ? MATROX is going to have a card in July/86, but with 3-D hardware and 104 MHz output, which is too much for me. If this card is in development anywhere, I'd be interested in writing Software, esp. Terminal emulations. Thanks for Information Michael Dietl seismo!mcvax!unido!qtecmuc!midi

Check Imagraph Corp (Woburn, MA) 617-938-5480 They have a 1024 x 1024 x 8, 30 hz interlaced, Hitachi 63484 board for you. Also Number Nine Inc. (Cambridge, MA). Same as Imagraph board. If you are not insisting on Hitachi chip, consider INI (Salt Lake City), and Parallax Graphics (Sunnyvale, CA). They both have proprietary chips doing much more than Hitachi ever dreamed of. Also, a new Intel grapgics chip just announced, supported by Number Nine (soon) and probably many others.

Unfortunately, it also exceeds them, in that it also includes a 68020 (12.5, 16.67 or 20 MHz) and a 68881 FPU (optional). The performance is simply awesome. You may have to wait awhile for it, since the first 68020 board won't go to fab until next week (the other boards are already done). I don't know when it will be available to anyone other than OEMs, but believe me, if you can, it's worth the wait. Oh, it's being priced competetively with the IBM PGA. _MelloN_ -- Ted Lemon Project GNU of the Free Software Foundation UUCP: {}!mit-eddie!mit-prep!mellon INTERNET: mellon@prep.ai.mit.edu ORGANIZATION: Project GNU, Free Software Foundation, 1000 Mass.
