References: This is probably obvious to anyone with hardware experience, but here goes. I have an antique Lex-11 modem sitting around from the days when I used it with my TVI 912. The terminal/computer end of the modem cable has a male connector. I have also a plain vanilla PC with an RS-232 port whose connector is also male. Though I've had it for a couple of years, I've not yet had the need to use (or even test) this port. QUESTION: Can I simply buy a female-female adaptor cable which connects all of the pins to their corresponding pins, or do I need to do some kind of pin-switching? Thanks. E-mailed responses are fine. David M. MacMillan, KB6MPN UCSD (ex-UCSC); Calma/GE (ex-IBM) UCSD Soaring Club SSA, USGHA, ARRL Wobegonian-in-exile
