Recently, instructions were posted on the net for changing the cluster size on a hard disk from 4k to 2k. Since the MS-DOS partition on my computer is 15 megabytes, DOS 3.1 gives me a 12-bit FAT and 4k clusters. The instructions detail going into debug, reading the boot sector and changing the values at offset x'0D' and x'16'. The value at x'0D' is to be changed from an 08 to a 04. No problem there. But the value at x'16' is supposed to be changed from an 08 to a 15. The only problem is that my machine has a 0B at that location. Does anybody know what is happening? What value should I use in this location? -- Ben Broder {ihnp4,decvax} !hjuxa!catnip!ben {houxm,topaz}/
