I have a Brother Executron 70 typewriter, with a IF-50 interface to a computer. I am using MS-Word, V2.0 as the word processing program. The problem: what printer driver file should I be using. Right now, when I try to get Spanish characters on the printer, I get $. All of the English characters print out normal, just the Spanish ones are not working. Does anyone out there have any solutions?

You might try the PRD file for Brother printers, but I doubt that any of the printer description files will work just right, especially if you are trying to print Spanish characters. Microsoft provides documentation and utilities to write your own printer description file. The documentation is in a DOC file on the utilities diskette. Writing a printer description file is a fairly simple matter if you have a good printer manual that contains all the necessary control sequences. -- Greg Hollingsworth ...!seismo!umcp-cs!cvl!umd5!gregh U of Md.
