I am involved in writing (and maintaining) a resident program. Some days ago i resived a error report saying that the BASIC 2.0 compiler could sometimes leave the bits 0 and 1 on, which can result in a etarnal beep if you output a <Bell>. I find it easy to include a patch but since i am not sure about the portabilty i like to ask the question. Does anyone know off a clone that don't use bit 0 and 1 of port 61H(ex) to control the speaker? Mail would be much appreciated, both negative and possitive!!! Magnus Karlson
