The V20 contains a superset of the 8088's instruction set. Does anybody know if an assembler is available, either commercial or public domain, that takes advantage of the additional instructions? I've seen some benchmarks (I think it's in Micro/Systems Journal) that show a large (>60%) speedup if the code is rewritten to take advantage of the V20's capabilities. However, such increases are only possible for those benchmarks that uses bit manipulation since the 8088 does not have these instructions. ---------- Luis Basto
