[net.micro.pc] Want Information on Zenith Z-171

joel@peora.UUCP (07/13/86)

I have been thinking about buying a Zenith Z-171. I would like
any information you could give about or product reviews you
could direct me to. I read the article in Infoworld, but I
would like something more in-depth. Also information about the
Morrow Pivot would be appreciated as I understand they are
basically the same design. Some specific questions I have are:

	- What do you think of the keyboard?

	- Have you used the internal 1200 baud modem? What did you
	  think of it?

	- Have you encountered any 3rd party software that won't
	  work on it?

	- Is the screen easy to read?

	- What about the composite video card?

           * Pretty good, for a compact one. It was okay for fast typing,
but not for an endurance run.

             * Modem works fine after the first time I dial. Wouldn't dial
the first time I tried . Probably a bug in the terminal program.

          No, and I have lots.

No, the (LCD) screen really stinks, but it is as good as I've seen
in an LCD version. For short lengths of time, it's tolerable.

Haven't received it yet. (Back ordered)
