[net.micro.pc] Orion UDL <-> ACS1000: help needed

I need some help with this problem. We have obtained an Orion UDL
and cannot seem to get it to communicate properly with our ACS1000
(supposedly) PC compatible. Has anyone else had experience with 
either (or, hopefully, both) of these beasties? The problem - block
transfers cannot be performed from the UDL to the PC. The error which
results - read fault device AUX, Abort, Retry, Ignore? ..The PC
hangs at this point. I personally suspect a BIOS compatibility problem.
Anyone care to speculate?
