I have a friend who is a stock broker and he would like a way that he can keep track of capital gains and losses in his personal stock portfolio. At work he has got everything he needs. But he would like to do something similar at home. This would be mainly for tax purposes. He would like to be able to Input the name of a stock, the date and how many shares bought or sold and the price of the stock. He would probably would want to be able to go back and review what he did on a certain day, etc. He does not want to call up Dow Jones, or something like that.. He would like this to be as simple to use as possible as he does not use the PC very often and is not very adept at it. If there is no specific package out there would there be an easy to learn database program where he could set it up relatively easily (or maybe even a fron-end for a spread sheet). Any information would be helpful.. ----Martin Lewis Walter Hall---- SUN Microsystems Mail Stop 1-40 2550 Garcia Avenue, Mountain View, Ca. 94043 (415) 691-7995 reply to: hplabs \ allegra > !sun!martin ios / or mlwh@sun.COM
