Like Steve Vance I am thrilled with my $19.90 Powerhouse from DAK. I am considering buying a second unit as a spare, just because of the low price. The latest Radio Shack flier shows some X10 stuff. There are 4 different types of modules at $9.95 each (lamp, appliance, wall switch, and universal appliance) and the 8 channel (I think) manual controller for $8.88. I don't know if this is only in Northern IL or across the country! The Powerhouse software (for IBM or compat.) is super, even though the manual contain info for writing your own.
