I was talking to someone recently about the format of Dbase III (and, I think Dbase II) .DBF files. I was told that the format of these files is "common knowledge", and "well known". I looked thru several books in the bookstore that had "Dbase III" in their titles, and didn't see anything like this, or any indication of where to find it. If you know what the format of Dbase III .DBF files is, or know where this format is described, can you please MAIL me a letter? I will post the format if lots of people want to know what it is. The .NDX file formats and anything else you think might be helpful would be appreciated, too. If this has appeared in this group recently, telling me the approximate month/year will suffice, since I have complete archives. But I don't remember seeing anything like this. -- Steve Vance Qantel Corporation, Hayward, CA UUCP: {dual,hplabs,ihnp4,lll-crg}!qantel!stv ATTMAIL: !stv ARPA: dual!qantel!stv@ucbvax.berkeley.edu COMPUSERVE: 72226,1603
