Every once in a while here in NY, on my favorite radio station,
WNEW, I hear what seems to be THE ultimate summertime song, In the Summertime,
by Mungo Jerry (In the summertime, when the wheather is hot, You could reach
right up and touch the sky, etc, etc). Search and search I did, and I found
their greatest hits album (not bad, not great, call it interesting). What
I have not been able to decide is under what classification does Mungo Jerry
fall under. I found the album under imports (from Germany, and a crappy
recording).
Secondly, for the month of April, WNEW ran a spring cleaning, where
every song they played, they gave away the album it was on (I love poor
english). All told, my group of friends (yes I do have one or two), won in
the neighborhood of 60 albums. Did anyone out there win anything? I must
say, it is a great feeling winning oh, the wall, or some other good stuff
like that... sorry about the bragging, but as I say, oh what a feeling.
Please, let me know if anyone out there was also privy to the feeling...
