[net.micro.pc] Posting of PD and Shareware

mjb224@uiucuxf.CSO.UIUC.EDU (10/03/86)

Since I posted the FASTIMES disk caching utility, I received a lot of positive
e-mail. I would like to post other utilities (ususally without source code),
but I am unsure as to the netiquette regarding the posting of materials like
this. Of course all the material I would post would be in the public domain or
Shareware. The questions I have are:
1) Should DOS utilities be posted here or on another part of the net?
2) Is this acceptable practice for the net?
3) Is anyone interested in obtaining my favorite DOS utilities?
4) How come Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes looks the same now as he did in 1957?

If I get a positive response on the first three questions, I will post a
nice PROKEY-like utility almost immediately.

I would be more than happy to obtain source of your utilities however,
I think program sources should be posted in "net.sources". This assumption
might be wrong because if most people like your utilities I doubt that
they would complain
