Back in November, I purchased a Sperry IT, an AT clone, soon after they were introduced. I also bought Xenix System V, which runs fine. But, a problem has turned up. When attempting to expand the IT's memory above 1 Meg, the limit of the motherboard, Xenix goes flakey. I've tried a number of boards, with the processor running at 6 and 7.14 Mhz, including the JRAM-3, but all of them exhibit the same problem. Rumor had it that there was a motherboard and ROM update sometime after the first of the year. In addition, another IT purchased at roughly the same time doesn't exhibit the problem. Does anyone know if an update in fact occurred? If so, how does one go about getting it? Suggestions welcome. -- Douglas H.
