Here are my experiences with tekterm2.exe and tt.exe -

 - tt.exe does not show the opening message screen (tekterm2 does)
 - tt.exe echoes characters locally in full duplex mode while not echoeing
characters locally in half duplex mode (in tekterm2 it is the other way
   around)
 - tt.exe seems to handle graphics o.k. but tekterm2, in the graphics
mode, adds a "_" character at the end of text that is very annoying.

I had no trouble getting into the set-up screen but what Bill says (above)
is correct. There is no way to tell which option you are on without pressing
the "+" key, which changes the option. I could not figure out how to
automatically load a configuration file at start-up. The other things I
found out were 1) the program seems to be written in compiled basic and
2) tt.exe does not seem to need the .ovl files while tekterm2 does. It is
also not clear what protocol is used to upload/download.

Overall, the program is very lacking in documentation, configurability and
support of higher resolution graphics ( > 600x200). But it's shareware/P.D.
and will do graphics.

All opinions are my own.
