[net.micro.pc] Device Driver for the Professional Graphics Controler

marinell@dalcs.UUCP (Kevin Marinelli) (10/19/86)

This should be of interest to anyone who has a PGA card on their PC.

I was interested in demonstrating the capabilities of the PGA to
different people on campus. Having seen the IBM demo running in
a few small trade shows, I knew that getting the demo program from
IBM was the best way to do this.

I approached our local IBM rep. and was hand delivered the demo
within three days. The demo disk was wounderful beyond all of my
   dreams.

The demo works by copying text files to a device driver called
DR01. Most of the text files for the demo are ASCII human readable,
a wonderful source of learning material about the controller.

If you are interested in really using your PGA to it's fullest extent,
try to get the demo disk from IBM.

If I can find out if the program is PD (or if the copywrite owner
will allow it), I will post it to the net in the future.
