A friend of mine has an IBM EGA card that he bought a year ago. The board came with 64K bytes of image memory and he likes to expand it. The local IBM product center (now NINEX) wants $200 for evey 64k! In other words, to bring his board up to 256K, it will cost him $600. Now, that's three times as much as the clone EGA cards. Does anyone make a low-cost expansion board for the IBM EGA card? If not, how difficult is it to replace the low-density RAMs on the card with the more dense ones used on the clones?
