. I have run across a problem accessing the monochrome screen if the EGA is also installed and I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem and found a solution. The application I am writing (in IBM Pascal) uses IBM's Graphics Development Toolkit to draw graphics and some text to the EGA screen. The problem is that I would also like to write some text to the monochrome screen and as far as I can tell this is not possible. There is no device driver available for the mono card so Toolkit calls can not be used. The EGA intercepts all calls to DOS and tries to write them to the EGA display. It is not possible to write directly to the appropriate memory locations since the EGA driver uses some of this space to define how characters are drawn. Thanks in advance!!
