One of our faculty bought a box of Verbatim high density (1.2 Mb) diskettes. He figured they would work in place of the DSDD diskettes he had been using on a Televideo 802 and a modified Apple II, both of which have been happy with the ordinary DSDD soft sectored diskettes used by IBM PC's. Well, they wouldn't format on either machine, but they worked fine on the 1.2Mb (high density) diskette drive of a PC/AT. How can this be? --henry schaffer n c state univ
