At CHICON IV, the WorldCon, over Labor Day weekend, there were rumors rampant about STIII; indeed, looks like In Search Of spock will be the name; concensus seems to be that the mindmeld with Bones will be the vehicle for the resurrection of ol' pointy-ears. The previews of Dark Crystal, Revenge of the Jedi, and Creepshow plus the fact that the ROTJ producer, Kazanjian (also of Raiders fame) gave the show himself, shows the trend toward SF&F is continuing. Why not a monthly ST series, maybe on a payTV network--a guaranteed audience of several million should generate enough revenue for HBO or someone similar to produce and run ST.
