OK, everbody, lets have a contest to relieve the tedium of seeing a Star Trek episode for the 20th time. You'll be on your honor not to cheat in this one. Watch the teaser (opening) of the next episode on your local Veg-a-Matic and record album station. Start a stopwatch. See how many seconds it takes you to recognize the episode. Give yourself extra credit if you can also produce the episode title before it is shown at the end of the commercial. Its harder than you think, with the way they have chopped up the syndication prints. I've tried this twice during the past few days. My scores were 20 and 45 seconds before positive identification, including the titles. Can anyone do better? Phil Karn

I've been doing this for about the last 6 months. I can name the plot in 5 seconds if at all, and the title with the plot if I know it. It seems to me, though, that my station only shows the first two seasons worth. Is there some obscure reason for this? '(rich magill) (go (get 'em))
