I need an answer once and for all. Is "Trouble with Tribbles" taken from Heinleins "Rolling Stones"?? It seems very close and I've only heard speculation.... Tnx Bret Marquis

In David Gerrold's book about the Tribbles episode, he says that he DID read Rolling Stones years back, but he didn't consciously take the idea. He realized he must have done so unconsciously when someone pointed out the similarity. I've never heard anyone really accuse him of stealing the idea; after all, there aren't THAT many new ideas around, and a writer writes out of his/her own experience.
