I watched STTMP on TV (never saw it in the theater) and thought it was pretty pitiful. Basicly a rehash of the "Nomad" episode, with a bigger machine, more music, older actors, and a few stupid gimmics. Only plus was some of the graphics (such as going to warp speed). Bill Dietrich houxj!wapd

I agree. However, there was one added scene that was just left hanging. I refer to the episode in the bridge right after Kirk left after coming up there for the first time. There was one hippie of a crewman who was obviously mad that Kirk had so abruptly taken over fom Decker. He looked like he was ready to kill someone. It would have been interesting to have that one wild crewman try to mess things up for JT and try to get Decker his ship back.

At least other people got to see the whole thing(at least what the network allowed to show). Up here in the Portland area, the local ABC affiliate lost the video to the movie for the last half hour, made an audio announcement 15 minutes after the picture went, saying "We are experiencing temporary video difficulties, do not attempt to adjust your set". Well, the movie finished, and they went right into the local news with the video still missing!!!
