I was talking to a theatre manager a while back and he claimed
the next Star Trek movie was coming out for Christmas. Can
anyone confirm or deny this?

The next Star Trek Movie was originaly planned for a christmas
release, but Paramount decided to give the producers (Harve
Bennet et al.) more time for script development and to
avoid any possibility of another actors strike affecting
production. The last I heard the lensing of Star Trek III
would begin on August 10.
