If anyone tells you Spock's first name, they're either lying, mistaken, or using a name invented by a writer which was not part of the "official" Star Trek history. It has never been stated for our ears in any episode or either movie. Spock reportedly did tell some others his name, but we have no evidence of what the name might be. It's a mystery. -- Roger Noe ...ihnp4!ihlts!rjnoe

To the best of our knowledge, Spock's first name was never explicitly stated in the television series. The reference you give is not exactly correct; "The Paradise Syndrome" is a third-season episode with an amnesic Captian Kirk falls for an Indian-like princess for a few months while the handicapped Enterprise tries to divert an asteroid. The episode you meant to refer to is "This side of Paradise", a first season episode (and therefore a better one) in which a human colony has been seduced by spore-shooting flowers (Yes, this one is a bit silly too). Anyhow, the closest we ever get to hearing Spock's first name is when he tells Jill Ireland's character that his first name is unpronouncable. Close, but no cigar. If his name was ever mentioned at another point in the TV series, the animated series, the movies, or the books, we're not aware of it.
