Larry, the point of these quiz questions is to have fun.  If you want to 
dig out your ST quiz book go right ahead, but that defeats the purpose 
doesn't it.  If you don't want to participate, then don't, it's that simple.
Why don't you just play along for a while, wing it Larry, forget the damn quiz 
book and see what you know about ST.  Since you say you own the quiz book, then 
I would assume this sort of trivia interests you.  Be a good sport, 
Larry.  

Oh, by the way, what is the identification number of the Enterprise? (This 
doesn't come from a quiz book, I assure you.)

Simply put, the identification number of the Enterprise was NCC-1701.
Does anybody (else) know what its stands for/comes from?

By the way, I think such a series of quizes will give me something
to do, other than that which i should be doing...
