O.K. Here it is. A small question session to test your knowledge of your show and mine, "STAR TREK".........(Dramatic, no?) All the questions have to deal with chess in one form or another....Try not to use your books for reference, Captain Kirk never did! (Don't bother to mail me anything, I'm beaming out of here in 5 days, I'll post the answers before I go....) Question One: You are on a planet with Plato's Stepchildren. They play a very easy game of chess there with man-sized pieces. They relax while a midget, Alexander, moves the pieces for them. They are bad, as they are controlling Alexander. Why can't Alexander fight back with his mind, and what is the name of the drug that gives Plato's Stepchildren "The Power"? Question Two: You are Captain Kirk, playing chess against your first officer. A Lt. Kelso breaks into your game with a message. He says "No sir, can't be a vessel. Reads only about one meter in diameter". Name the episode, and what was it that Kelso couldn't identify. Question Three: In Charlie X, Spocko is trying to teach Charlie to play 3-d chess. But, unfoutunately, Charlie is a sore loser. What does Charlie do when he loses? Question Four: In the episode "Court Martial", how many times does Spock play chess before he realizes and is convinced that the computer was tampered with. Question Five: You are on a planet of pyschos being held prisoner by Darth of Whizzar. You really need to go but the planet has no facilities. You call up Scotty to have him beam you up. Scotty says: "Queen to Queen's level 3". What do you say in response, or do you find a nearby tree? What episode was this parody taken from? Well, I do hope that you have fun trying to figure these out. I know they may not be too hard for some of you, but, like I said before, try not to use your books for reference. Have fun, answers in a few days........ Ronald "Not quite all here, I'm being beamed up" Rosul@nmtvax New Mexico Tech, Socorro, New Mexico
