Well, here are the answers, I am leaving early so I am posting them now.
Question One:
You are on a planet with Plato's stepchildren. They play a very easy
game of chess there with man-sized pieces. They relax while a midget, Alexander
moves the pieces for them. They are bad, as they are controlling Alexander. Why
can't Alexander fight back with his mind, and what is the name of the drug that
gives Plato's Stepchildren "The Power"?
Answer One:
Alexander is a midget because of a deficient pituitary gland, the same
gland that the Plaotoian's use to 'process' the drug Kirotin, found in the
foods they ate on the planet, and synthesized by McCoy.
(most everyone got this one.)
Question Two:
You are Captain Kirk, playing chess against your first officer. A Lt.
Kelso breaks into your game with a message. He says "No sir, can't be a
vessel. Reads only about one meter in diameter". Name the episode and what it
was that Kelso couldn't identify.
Answer Two:
(Surprisinglyly, noone got this one right....)
The episode was "Where No Man Has Gone Before", and Kelso couldn't
identify the recording bouy left behind.
Question Three:
In Charlie X, Spocko is trying to teach Charlie to play 3-d chess. But,
unfoutunately, Charlie is a sore loser. Whta does Charlie do when he loses?
(Most everyone go this one about right)
Well, his face crinkeld up and he melted all of Spock's pieces. (Bonus
points if you can name the color Spock was playing by the end of the article)
Question Four:
In the episode "Court Martial", how many times does Spock play chess
before he realizes and is convinced that the computer has been tamperd with?
(Most all got this one right)
Easy stuff, Five games.
Question Five:
(And I hope that at least some of you noted that the question was a
*PARODY* of "Whom Gods Destroy......I got several flames...........)
You are on a plantet of psychos being held prisoner by Darth of Whizzar.
You really need to go but the planet has no facilities. You call up Scotty to
have him beam you up. Scotty says :"Queen to Queen's level 3". What do you
say in response, or do you find a nearby tree. What episode was this parody
taken from?
You say :"Queen to King's level 1", taken from "Whom Gods Destroy"...
Well, that wraps up this little quiz. Hope you at least gave it a little
