Stewart offers a reasonable proposal: assume for a given time period (a month) that all postings about STAR TREK III are spoilers unless specified otherwise. The problem with this, however, is for the net readers to get out of the habit of assuming the reverse. To reply to the original question, I waffled about putting a spoiler warning on my posting about the destruction of the *Enterprise*. I recall someone in SFL object to a posting without a spoiler warning that described a scene in a trail- er for INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. However, since what I described in my last posting was from an ad I saw on tv, I consider it "public news", and if a net reader hasn't seen it, it's more a matter of luck than avoidance. As such, I feel that it doesn't require a spoiler warning. Feel free to disagree, you might get me to change my mind. --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC Maynard, MA) UUCP: {decvax|ihnp4|allegra|ucbvax|...}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-akov68!boyajian ARPA: boyajian%akov68.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA
