Brian Matthews mentions: I also have a question about the Klingons. They now have a cloaking device, but I though only the Romulans had them. Also, when the Klingon ship first appears, I thought someone said something about a "Bird of Prey" although I may have been wrong. It's something to watch for. -------------------- I have heard that the Klingons and Romulans have some trade agreements. If I remember correctly, in "The Enterprise Incident" (in which Spock seduces the female Romulan commander), the Romulans were using a Klingon battle cruiser. I certainly would call this ship a "bird". Watch it land! -- Barry Margolin ARPA: barmar@MIT-Multics UUCP: ..!genrad!mit-eddie!barmar

Barry Margolin points out that the Romulans and Klingons have some kind of trade agreements with the Klingons. I seem to have forgotten this, but went back and read the Enterprise Incident in the Star Trek 4 book. It mentions in there that the battle cruiser the female commander has is modeled after Klingon warships, so I suppose it this explains the Klingons having the cloaking device, although I believe the movie is the first time this is brought out. The ship landing was pretty impressive, one of the more impressive effects in the film. Maybe the Enterprise was trying the same thing earlier on Genesis :-).
