It was in one of last week's USA TODAYS, and in most newspapers, and I first heard about it on Paul Harvey. If Paramount is releasing some kind of KIRK WANTED poster, then it may be expected that ST4 is not as far off as we all think..... The choice of Robin Curis as Saavik was NOT arbitrary.. In People magazine Nimoy says they "couldn't afford" Kirsie Alley. She was asking more than the principal actors, and Paramount said bye-bye. I think she was probably better as Saavik, but not THAT much better. Does anyone like the shape of the Grissom better than the Excelsigag? In the one scene where the Excelsior flies out of spacedock, the silly thing looks like a basset hound running after the Enterprise...Oh, well Also, Paramount set a record by releasing ST3 to 1,966 theaters.(USA Today, and Entertainment Tonight..) The only way Kirk will get out of his deep pudding with fleet is for there to be some mega-galactic confrontation between Klingons and federation, and fleet will reconcile that they must have Kirk, there most experienced battle officer, out there doing the fighting insetad of doing time...thats how ST4 is going to HAVE to go.....i think.....oh well....
