Errata--

My last letter did not have my name on it, so for those of you that were
upset, my name is not csdeptaa but actually it is Chris Wayne from the University
of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Also, I had made a comment about Ian Wolf that for
some reason did not completely make it. It should read, I am also Supprised that
noone got Ian Wolf for his roles as Mr. Atoz and Septimus. The next line would
have been basicaly the same, but with Vic Perrin playing Tharn and the voice of
Nomad. Dekai Wu from sdcsvax!sdccsu3!ee171bey pointed out that I had missed one.
That was no supprise, however, my jaw hit the floor when I found out which one it
was (even with STIII running). It was Mark Lenard who play, of course, Sarek(JB)
and the romulan commander(BT).

STIII --

When Admiral Morrow told Kirk that the Enterprise would not be repaired, he
said something like "... that twenty year old hulk ...", and that rang a bell
that was not quite true. If I remember right STIII is roughly fifteen years
after the the episodes on television. In the Menagerie(sp?) the log tapes
from Talos IV (or was it spock) state that the tapes are from thirteen years
ago. Then there was the ships first commander Robert April who was her captain
for at least four more years. So, we are actually looking at a ship that is
thirty-five years plus! Now I don't know if it was that obvious to most of you,
but it hit me like a two-by-four across the head.
Didn't the Klingon Bird-of-Prey Scout look bigger than it should have?
Compaired to the Freighter it was ok, but compaired to the Gissiom and the
Enterprise it was really to large. The Klingon had only a crew of 12. For
those of you that play SFB - 3 crew units or 1 crew unit and 1 boarding party.
It should really be about the size of an Eastern Alliance Destroyer.
How come the Klingon Bird-of-Prey took two photon torpedos point blank
range and didn't desinergrate into a pile of ashes?
Don't think that I didn't like the movie, but I did like it. I'll miss
Christopher Lloyd has a klingon though. It was this movie that gave me the
idea for the following trivia question.

TRIVIA --

Haven't you ever wondered why kirk and crew have never been court-martialed
for violating the Prime Directive so many many times? Well, this is basically
the jest of this trivia question. Can you list episode by episode (no need for
doing every single one, just those that you think you can do) the offence and
all other posible charges(trumped up or not), who it was that did it
(easy so far), and then state why they should be or shouldn't be court-martialed
by playing either the procecuter(sp?) or the defender, which ever one you feel
you can make a good case for it.

example:
         episode: Private Little War.
charges: violating the Prime Directive and needlessly endangering
                  valuable Star Fleet Officers.
       defendant: Captain James T. Kirk.
procecution: that the accussed has repeatedly violated the Prime Directive
and risked the lives of his fellow officers and that this
proves that Capt. Kirk is unfit for command and even unfit
for duty. The procecution askes for the highest penalty
                  posiable.
witness': (if posible, and you must give all or part of their testimony)
defence: Capt. Kirk was only reacting to his training as a Star Fleet
Officer. He could not sit back and watch the Klingons take
over the planet and have Klingon trechery spread into
Federation Space. Simply, he was only doing his duty with
out thinking about his own personal risk.
        witness': (if any)

if guilty: (what ever you find out about his guilt)
   if not guilty: (dido)

I hope you get the idea. Please mail your answers to me before you send them
out across the net, since I might not always receive all articles sent across
the net.

OTHER--

Michael N. Washington from trwrb reffered to my spelling and why don't
I use a dictionary. Yes, my spelling is bad and most of the time I do use
a dictionary, but sometimes some words do get by and there are other times
when I don't have access to a dictionary, so I have to do the best I can.
And sitting in front of a terminal for two hours trying to type this stuff
in. I want to thank Micheal for his other comments about my last entry, at
least I now know that somebody else out their is reading my stuff and liking
it to some degree.
Ray Chen from princeton!tilt reffered to the new Klingon Deardnought
as the D8, it is actually the C8/9. The Battleship, a HUGE-SLUGGISH-SUCKER
is the B10. If anyone out there plays Star Fleet Battles, then you can see
all the different types of races and ships there are. Even though SFB is
not directly envolved in the Star Trek Canon, but because it does have the
premission of Franz Joseph to use material from the Techmanual and other stuff,
all one would have to do is sit down and play a game or two and you would
probably agree that this game is really part the canon too!
