Mishandled names, mishandled characters *Names* The last name of the author who wrote *The Entropy Effect* is McIntyre. McIntyre McIntyre McIntyre McIntyre McIntyre McIntyre The first name of the actress who played Saavik in "Star Trek III" is Kirstie. Kirstie Kirstie Kirstie Kirstie Kirstie Kirstie As the Romulan commander in *My Enemy, My Ally* remarks, it does not do to mishandle names. My apologies to all and sundry. *Characters* Given the results of that survey wherein just about everybody thought that Chekov was the only expendable member of the *Enterprise* contingent, it occurs to me to ask WHY nobody likes him? *I* don't much like him, but darned if I know why. I suspect part of his problem is that he was conceived, not because somebody thought he was probable, necessary, or even a neat idea, but rather because somebody thought the series needed a character who would appeal to the younger members of the audience. I suspect most of the rest of his problem is that awful accent. Anybody else have any opinions? -------- PDDB
