I did a quick run through on the VCR so what I say may not be quite accurate, unless there are two elevators Uhura was not in the same position in the TV Shows as she was in ST1 - she was to the left and maybe even closer to the right, but she was not in the same place. But there WERE two elevators (that should be turbolifts) to the bridge in all 3 ST movies, while there was only one in the TV series.
