<oh no, the bugs got into the proto-matter!> I cannot believe someone has not mentioned the reason for Spock and the planet aging together. The reason that the planet is aging so fast is that David used illegal proto-matter in the Genesis brew. That causes the planet to age faster, and Spock, since he was regenerated by the same process as the planet. Saavik was not affected by the Genesis process, and should not age. By the way, although I agree that Kirstie Alley wanted too much to play Saavik, I think she was a far better, and prettier, Saavik. -- Clark My opinion, whether you want it or not!
