#N:uok:8400089:000:1462 uok!dwhitney Jul 25 10:36:00 1984 Many have expressed interest in the possible "Trek-of-the-month" video club regarding uncut tapes of original episodes. I recently visited a local video store, the manager of which told me that Paramount was rereleasing the "Star Trek Volume" series, six tapes, each with four episodes of the series, for rental. Also available on an individual tape is "Space Seed," the episode upon which Wrath of Khan was based. While this is only 25 episodes, they represent some of the better ones; i.e. Menagerie, Trouble with Tribbles, Amok Time, City on the Edge of Forever. Check with your local video store and see if THEY have these tapes... On another topic, someone mentioned to me that a group in Los Angeles was creating a Star Trek Arcade; a full-scale mock up of the Bridge. (not mentioned if it was the series or movie bridge..) The principle of the arcade would be to enter a turboshaft, the shaft would deposit you on this supposedly-exact replica of the Enterprise bridge, and give you the command of the ship with the option of selecting one of several adventures; battling Klingons, Romulans, planetary investigation, etc. Your game would be saved for you to return to when you wished. This report also indicated that, if successful, franchises of this type would be sold all over the nation. Does anyone know more about this? If so, please tell...(and correct me if I have posted incorrect information.) David Whitney ctvax!uokvax!uok!dwhitney

Regarding the 'Trek Arcade' I seem to recall rumors of this many, many years (about 5) ago. I hope it's true, but I think someone's pulling your leg. The cost of setting this up would be monstrous and the prices for using it would probably be prohibitive. David Smith
