David Gerrold's re-released "World Of Star Trek" is now in bookstores.

I believe it has been released by Bluejay books, and is in a much larger
format, printed on some quality stock paper instead of newsprint, and
has two or three new chapters Gerrold wrote to synopsize the production
of the three films and his views on the direction of Star Trek following
"The Search for Spock." At the local B Dalton Bookstores, it runs $8.95,
and while I haven't picked up a copy yet, I have glanced through it
enough to know it's an excellent updated version with some interesting
inside information about how Paramount seemed to go out of its way
screwing up the return of Star Trek when it thought it was helping it.
From a new tv series, to the sets being built, then torn down, then
rebuilt, then scripts used from other science fiction ideas of Roddenberry..
some may already know the story, but its a monument to the uphill struggle
Star Trek has faced....
