Does anyone out there remeber the short-lived series known as: 'UFO'?
This is not to be confused with that stupid 1978 ish show called 'project ufo'!!
This was an English series that aired about 1975 or so, and was the predecessor to 'space 1999'.

Personally, I think this was one of the best sci-fi series ever made. Now don't get me wrong, I love and have great respect for ST.

If anyone remebers, PLEASE send me Email, I would like to discuss the series!!

I wish I could remember more. Loved it. (The problem/good thing with
"Project UFO" was the evidence presented. I don't know how good it was.
That's what makes the series good (possibilities) and bad (hype).)

I just vaguely remember scenes from the series. I loved the initial episode
that started the entire SHADO organization (Supreme Headquarters Alien
Defense Organization, right?). Everything fit so well. The commanders car
(nice design) and the elevator office. SID and the sub and moonbase.
I remember building the moonshuttle and the one man fighters with LEGOS.
Absolutely loved the airport scenes that transfered the passenger capsule to
and from the jet.
The stories were good, not just some slapped together morality play. They
made you think and (like a lot of British {versus American} shows) you are
not As sure of the danger. People Can have bad things happen to them.

Space 1999 was good too. I somehow missed some stuff as it switched to the
newer format with the shape changer and the loss of the "bridge" (dumb move)
and that seemed to make the show more simple adventure than good story.
(Though I can't remember if that's Really the way I felt about the new format).
