What effect would proto-matter have on anti-matter? Could the genesis effect
have something to do with the anti-matter/matter explosions being contained?
Perhaps, since the proto-matter was causing matter to break down, it could
also break down anti-matter ( into something else? ) and buffer the effect.
What is proto-matter(sp)?

An interesting question. I feel that the Genesis wave effect was
pretty minimal (if at all) by the time the planet started to age and
break apart. The proto-matter was unstable, causing the rapid aging
and not really acting upon the matter that the Genesis wave created.
However, it could have affected the anti-matter in some way. But
I suspect that the "explosion" would have been even greater, not
contained since the planet exploded just as Kirk and company were
	leaving in the Klingon ship.
