- Is there trouble in finding a dead test planet in the first place, then why
  bother?

They wanted an ABSOLUTELY DEAD test planet so there'd be no complications.
I'm sure that Genesis would work on live planets, (so Spock said),
but they wanted a nice sterile one for the first test.

Ah ha! I've found them. Shortly after STII came out I wrote down my first
impressions, later they disappeared. I'm sending them over the net for
discussion and/or answering. Some of them I have forgotten the reason for
writting them down in the first place, but there might be something of interest
in this group.

- When Chekov and Terrell land on Ceti Alpha V, is that part of the "Guardian"
from the old set(CEF) that is seen on the right?

- After walking a distance to the remains of the Botany Bay, the "Guardian"
can still be seen on the right in the distance.

- Chekov not on Space Seed.

- Kirk's shuttle docks at port torpedo bay. The movie shows docking at the bay
  below port torpedo.

- All that seems to be left of the Botany Bay is the cargo containers.

- The one they enter is on its side ("seat belts" on wall), but "max load" sign
  is right side up.

- Kirk lives in San Francisco.

- Romulan ale of 2283(????)

- When is Kirk's birthday?

- Reliant looks like a tug, but is a light cruiser.

- Marking on wall on the left on the outside of the elevator is a "4" inside a
box above a "5" inside a box. What does that mean?

- Some of Khan's people look younger than those in (SS), but older than 15yrs.

- Is there trouble in finding a dead test planet in the first place, then why
  bother?

- McCoy's expression about genisis - Spock says "your emotions will be your
  undoing".

- Old style fire extinguisher on wall in back off bridge.

- When Khan came-on-screen for first time, there was no scream from Uhura or the
  yeoman.

- Enterprise fired FORWARD at reliant as reliant flies over port quarter stern.

- Scotty brings Peter to the bridge after the battle.

- Uhura does not gasp when peter is brought up.

- Was there really a ship named the Kobayashi Maru?

- Talking while beaming aboard.

- Motari Nebula looks a little like V'ger.

- Spock tells McCoy (mind meld) "remember". Remember what?

- Mark IV Torp Casing/Coffin has four prop/thrust units.
