[net.startrek] What's a warp? -- The straight scoop!

Well, after reading all these conjectures and theories, I went to the
Technical Manual for the straight scoop.  There, in glorious black & white,
on page TO:02:06:20 no less, it clearly states that Velocity = Warp Factor
cubed times C.  I'm not speculating as to whether this is a suitable speed
for the distances travelled or not, I'm just clearing up a point of some
controversy.  Now let's argue about whether or not the Technical Manual is
an acceptable source of information! :-)
