[net.startrek] A Trek Convention in January?

A rumour was started at a recent comic-book convention that there would be
a Star Trek Convention in January in New York and that, even more intriguing,
a certain L. Nimoy would be wandering through.
Can anyone out there confirm or deny or at least tell us more?!
I'm in the process of becoming an avid trekker and would LOVE to get together
with a bunch of people who know what they're talking about re S.T.
