Are there any rumors floating around there as to what the replacement for Enterprise is going to be? (If I were/was Starfleet I'd be buying surplus Klingon ships. If a Klingon scout can trash a Federation heavy cruiser/starship (even a not-fully-operational one) what can a BIG Klingon ship do?!?) Cheryl Nemeth

Though, I admit, that little tiny scout did pack quite a wallop. Perhaps they will do better with their new flying bathtubs... -- "The greatest gift Peter Merchant they'll get this year is life."

I think it would be rather neat if they continued somewhat with what the D.C. Comic Monthly Star Trek went after ST III: Bring back the Alternate Universe from "Mirror, Mirror"! The Kirk there has spent the 15 years after his last meeting in this Universe in persuit of a means to get back to "this" Universe to have his revenge on our Captain. And the end (so far) was our Capt. regaining (temporarily) the Alternate Universe's Enterprise. And also interesting is how the "Empire" became the Alternate: it seemed that during the Romulan war, the Earth lost, and was subjugated for ten years. At this time, a popular revolution succeeded, and humans regained control of Earth. The Empire was formed under the auspoces that humans shall never be dominated by another race, and that they must rule over all. And the Empire was born, included conquered vassals of Klingons, Romnulan, and VULCANS. And who wants to take a guess how Sarek and Amanda were killed in this Alternate Universe??? If I receive a responce that people are interested, I will be willing to type in summaries of the various D.C. Books. I do highly recommend these to anyone interested in Trek: they are quite good. The latest issued is the April #13, where Kirk and Co. are in the Alternate Universe about to lead a battlefleet to this Universe... Walt Pesch AT&T Technologies ihnp4!ihuxp!wbpesch
