No, It is not yuor imagination. William Campbell played both Captain Koloth in "The Trouble with Tribbles," and Trelane in "The Squire of Gothos." Many actors played more than one role in the series. Diana Muldaur and Mark Lenard come to mind offhand. In fact, I just learned that Morgan Woodward was in the show twice (as Dr. Simon Van Gelder in "Dagger of the Mind," and Captain Ron Tracy in "The Omega Glory").
