TY ("Tomorrow is Yesterday") was filmed in late November of 1966. As Uhura was scaning the lower frequencies, the bridge crew hears "...first manned moon mission launch set for Wednesday.." over the radio. This was two years before the first "real" circumlunar mission*. However, this episode did not air until 1/26/67, one day before apollo 4 (Grissom, White, Chaffee) was destroyed by fire. Somewhere I heard that this episode takes place in the early seventies. I didn't believe that so I tried to find out when the F-104 was used as a major "UFO" interceptor. every source that I checked could not help me. This episode was aired just this last sunday and I really keyed into any thing that might help with dating. Considering the number of times I've seen this episode (a lot), when I heard that radio broadcast, it was like seening a brand new episode. So, I checked the dates for the early Apollo Missions and it finally dawned on me that I was right! It must be one of those cases where you can't see the trees through the forest type situations. I don't know how this roomer got started, but it's easy to understand someone not being totally sure of his/her dates. Don't let all this confuse you if you've never heard of this roomer before. For me, it was just one of those little things that you know are wrong, but can't really disprove it and it sticks with you like a thorn in the side until you do figure it out. * apollo 7 - 11 oct 68 first test(earth orbit). apollo 8 - 21 dec 68 first circumlunar flight.
