I am not interested in another episode paving the way for the new cast on the new ship, but lingering on the old folks who used to be on the show. I am tired of Admiral Kirk, bored of Spock, weary of Bones, and could use a little less exposure to Scotty. Sulu and Checkov are okay, but if they are both active, I'd like to see them on seperate ships. I know that no one who reads this net writes the scripts, so who cares. But give me a real action film with new people, in next generation ships, trying to defeat a very clever Klingon in Battle. Who needs this wrapping up the carreers of the old crew stuff. Bring in Ridley Scott to direct Star Trek V: The tools of bloodshed. Or maybe Startrek V: The Altair Chainsaw Massacre. The undertow has been showing things getting more military all the time. why not show it. The only sign of Kirk should be that he gives an order from Starfleet that Checkov correctly ignores, and becomes a hero.

What a ridiculous idea to do away with Captain Kirk, Spock, McCoy or Scotty. Uhura is the only one I could do without but without any of the others you wouldn't have Star Trek!!!! If you want to see anything else go watch Star Wars, Last Starfighter, or some other sci-fi movie. In defense of "Star Trek". karen
