James Doohan was in town a week or so ago, doing promotional work for the ST videotapes. In an interview with a small local paper, he says that the demise of the series was, for the most part, due to it's being killed in the ratings by... "The Beverly Hillbillies." He said ST beat TBH in the larger cities, but in the overall national ratings it got trounced. Ouch!
