I sent someone a reply on this when the whole question started, but since they didn't see fit to post it and the controversy is getting old, I'll say it again. It's common practice for some theaters, especially in large chains, to cut down an episode so that it will have a nice, conventional time, and their schedules are appealingly ordered. Plitt is especially guilty of this, I actually saw THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK with the first kiss between Leah and Han cut---not important to the plot, but a funny scene. I could site numerous other examples because I have an odd habit of seeing the same movie twice, in drive-ins and in malls, with different company. That much I know for fact, I'm not certain whether the chains themselves do the cutting or if the studio provides two versions, but the latter seems likely since we only seem to be split into two groups. I hope this settles everything, how could people belive their fellow fans were so unattentive? "I saw him! I saw the captain!" Joanna
