For those of you who use rn, PLEASE use the little 'f' key (rather than the big one) to submit a follow up. The original text of the article should still be on the machines your reply is going to, and rn provides facilities for following a 'conversation' by grouping messages with the same the subject line, so that your followup may appear directly after the initial message. Therefore there is no need to repeat the whole text in your message. It simply wastes money, time, and gets people upset. On a more esoteric note, including the whole message text in a reply, you may be acting to prevent research interest in clever user interfaces to large databases and the like, since there is no motivation to work on methods of grouping similar messages if every message has every other one in it. - Ralph Hyre (...!mit-eddie!ralphw) (ralphw@mit-xx.arpa)
